The news about the unlucky demise of Eric was confirmed by the popular actor Reece Dinsdale. Reece Dinsdale took Twitter and posted and heartfelt post for Eric.
Eric was born in September of the year 1933, in Grantham, Lincolnshire. Eric was not always a television writer, he started his career as an auditor at the East Midlands Electricity board. He served there for around 22 years.
Eric also won a Bafta award in the year 1978 for his writing of the super hit show Rising Damp.
