Johnny Depp sued his ex-wife Amber Heard for defamation over a 2018 op-ed she penned for The Washington Post where she described herself as a “a public figure representing domestic abuse”.
Depp sued the ‘Aquaman’ actress for $50 million, while Heard countersued the ‘Pirates Of The Caribbean’ star for $100 million. She accused her ex-husband of orchestrating a “smear campaign” against her and described his lawsuit as a continuation of “abuse and harassment.”
