She and rapper Muna are both winners of the Most Beautiful Girl in Nigeria pageant. She later represented Nigeria at Miss World and placed second at Miss World Sports.  

Adaeze met her husband and football star, Joseph Yobo, at an event in 2009, when he came to Nigeria to spend a short part of the summer holiday. Joseph and Adaeze got married just a few months after meeting each other for the first time. Adaeze confessed they never knew anything about each other before then.
