While the original post on celebrity Instagram page DeuxMoi was anonymous and did not mention the identity of the royal, it is unclear who first linked the rumor to Prince William.
However, a legion of social media posts from netizens appeared to claim that the royal family member referred to in DeuxMoi’s post was none other than the Duke of Cambridge.

Despite the huge interest in the post, this type of ridiculous rumor cannot be confirmed by any publicly available means.
Many social media users also expressed their confusion about the origin of the rumor and the trending hashtag.
A recent anonymous post on the DeuxMoi website appears to have been the primary source of the aforementioned Prince William rumors.
